Data Analysis

What is Dementia?

Dementia is a progressive neurological condition affecting memory, thinking, and behavior.

Who are Caregivers?

Caregivers are typically family and friends (non-professional) who provide emotional, physical, and logistical support throughout the illness journey.

Research Goals

Develop insights that Ariadne Labs can use in developing solutions to help streamline caregiver responsibilities and reduce some of the anxiety associated with these functions.

Research Questions

What are the experiences of caregivers managing patients with dementia, and what are their primary obstacles and pain-points?

The study will examine caregiver experiences across four primary frameworks:

  1. Mental health states associated with caregiving

  2. Challenges with managing personal life around patients’ needs

  3. Provider and healthcare coordination/interaction

  4. Accessibility of information and resources

Research Method:

In-depth interview sessions was chosen as a research method for detailed exploration of the caregivers experience and for an option to adapt to the interview and follow up on crucial aspects for more in-depth analysis.
